The Utah State Legislature Capital Facilities and Administrative Services Appropriations Subcommittee reviews all capital projects for the State and approves or cuts public art funding for those projects. If you would like to contact the legislators on the committee to express your views on art in public places. The committee membership is listed on the Utah State Legislature web site. This web site also provides schedule and contact information for the committee.

General Growth Properties, under the guidance of the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance, is issuing an open Call-to-Artists for a privately commissioned public art project to be incorporated into the new public plaza centrally located within the recently opened lifestyle expansion at Tucson Mall. Phoenix Valley Metro Rail request for qualifications from artists for the creation of public artworks for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Mesa Extension. Four experienced artists will be selected to create integrated or stand alone art commissions at light rail stations ($245,000 - $255,000 each). Two smaller projects at a Traction Power Sub Station are suitable for emerging public artists ($35,000 each). The Kinston Community Council for the Arts (KCCA) seeks to commission an artist, artist team or designer to create a site-specific, outdoor bandstand canopy which provides functional shelter for performers and interprets, commemorates and celebrates the African American musical history, heritage and culture of Eastern North Carolina, in particular the City of Kinston and Lenoir County. The commissioned artist will design and produce an artful canopy enhancement to be installed on an existing, unsheltered bandstand in Pearson Park (formerly Neuseway Park), overlooking the Neuse River in downtown Kinston, NC.
